Am I the only one who doesn't know how to answer the question "how are you?". I need context - do you want to talk about the weather, work, or how I'm actually doing?

Sure, I want to talk about things... but I have no practice at this. How do you talk about yourself without worrying about oversharing? I'm not being cryptic on purpose, I literally just don't know how to say out loud how I'm feeling.

My head hurts. I'm not good at peopling.

Say you're in conversation with friends or family, and you need to leave, so you wait for a break in the talking (which may be a while) and then state you need to leave so that you're sure everyone heard. Now imagine that that's either not acknowledged at all or is only barely acknowledged, and then the conversation you are/were part of restarts and continues on as if you hadn't said anything. What do you do/is the polite thing to do?

I should really sign up for the next class they're doing it in my church, so that I have, you know, a reason to go there.

I know that's gotta sound really awkward to anybody who doesn't have ADHD, but anybody who does have ADHD will instantly understand what I'm saying.

Addendum: Structure is everything to the ADHD brain. Just going somewhere, even if you know people, is freaking terrifying. But if there's a class or something with structure, suddenly, you're in your element again.
