However, the title "How to make your own LEGO Smart Tags" is a little bit misleading (on purpose, I guess).
It's basically only about cloning existing tags — those ones you already have or those ones whose raw (encrypted) data is publicly available.

This looks like the (IMO) best descriptive and non-destructive disassembly so far. It also features some close-up views of the internals and also views of removed silicon chips under the microscope (magnification up to 500×). Thanks to @infosecdj for pointing me to this video!
Some snapshots from another YouTube video (from user Zerobrain) showing the teardown of #LEGO #SmartBrick. It also includes the charger. But this time no minifig. It shows a different perspective... but again very destructive. And it's in German.

They probably "only" damaged the wires around the actual brick. Downloaded from Instagram (user samwyattbricks), because I don't have it and you probably also don't.
