BigDI'm a Joe Blogg New Zealand citizen. Like all my fellow "Bloggs" I'm faced with spiralling increases in living costs which includes energy. Diesel, petrol and electricity. The first two price increases are at present, more a consequence of war.
The last is a consequence of policies introduced years ago by bad decision makers here in New Zealand. Ill advised decisions are continuing to be made by our politicians,( ie, Those who are at present in the government benches of parliament.) regarding a sustainable energy future for New Zealand .The best they can do is promote the idea of LNG as being the best solution to "dry year" electricity generation.
There are other and arguably better solutions that could be implemented starting tomorrow ( why not?) and into the future. We need to convince those on those benches, to pause and seriously consider what can be far better solutions, than to import LNG for dry year scenarios.
