Picked two 12 year bottlings today.

Glen Moray Smoky (peated) at 46,3 abv matured in American and European oak casks.

Brave New Spirits bottled Linkwood at 50,5% abv finished in 1st Fill Tannat Wine Barrique.

Tonight having a great Scottish #bitter #ale at 5,7% abv from Broughton Brewery. It is looking more like porter in my glass. Darks, sweet, lots of flavours, and slightly bitter. Almost refreshing.
Then a generous pour with a classic 10 year old Ardbeg #whisky from Islay. #slaintemhath

Highland Park Heather, a seriously peated whisky at 45ppm and cask strength 63,6% ABV. Non-chill filtered and natural (non) colour.
Lots of heather-honey, vanilla toffee and oak spice. Can handle a lot of water. It is young but still have all Orkney character 🥃 #whisky #slainteMhath

It's been a while since I wrote anything about whiskey. Newly released bottle, 50% ABV, non-chill filtered and without color additives as it should be. Aged in totally 54 ex-bourbon barrels and tastes of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, slight citrus tones and rosehip.
Noticeable islay peatiness 👌🥃
