I've never gotten more than +10-20% temporarily, that's not even a third of the rated capacity.

After 5 years of UPS duty, they're cooked! You're better off hoarding them, until you sell a whole lot to a recycler - those have quite a bit of scrap value left.

🧵 4/n i'm not quite sure why those are called SEALED lead-acid #SLA #batteries. A silicone-rubber bung doesn't seem like much of a SEAL. AGM tech, i guess - Absorbent Glass Mat. Edit: "sealed", as in non-spillable, i guess.

I'd say they're toast!

Yesterday, during the automatic self-test of my #Eaton Ellipse Pro 1600 (DIN) #UPS, it failed and shut my whole network down, ungracefully.

The original LEOCH DJW12-9.0 sealed lead-acid #SLA #batteries aren't holding a (reasonable amount of) charge anymore.

They've been in use since 2020-11, that's over 5 years. Eaton recommends replacing after 2 years.
