I can't believe I'm saying this but Changbin, babe, there's such a thing as shooting too dark with too much green light.

Like yes I know the concept, I get the concept, I love the concept, Changbin is a nerd and proud of it, but... pls. The detail kept getting drowned. What's the point of costuming and set designers doing all that lovely work if I can't see shit bc it's all black in migraine green with shadow and half the time it's flashing? (Yes I've tried turning brightness up. It helps like... 10%. It is literally the lighting choices for the MV.)

Anyway, #ULTRA as a song is ofc a bop and in studio quality we love. Just don't see this MV getting much random replay from me.

I like how it seems to be mostly an excuse to just dance and *feel*, tho the lyrics explain why he always looks like he feels so free performing it - "now that I'm crazy, I like to live as I wish" "unsolicited opinions not welcome, no" "my favorite hobby [is] laughing freely" - it's an "I'm me, it's great, you can fuck off if you don't like it" anthem and I love it and how hard he's owning it.

Also the beat SLAPS and the costuming is a++. Life is SO good, indeed.

But fr #Unfair is such an homage to specifically that telling of the tale (name-dropping Gaston and Belle? Lololol) with himself cast as the Beast that I wish I could ask him (gently!) his mental space behind the association and what it means to him. Like, off the record, wouldn't tell anyone else if that's what he needed.

Side note, if the Beast's human form was as handsome-pretty as Felix is, I would probably object a lot less to, you know, his human form. (I mean these days I can look at his human form and go "kudos to the artists for accurate if still idealized royal line facial features in Europe considering The Hapsburgs et al" but damn if I still don't think he's more handsome as the Beast.
