Here's Tulip Nebula captured in monochrome SHO. When processing narrowband images, I'll typically use NarrowbandNormalization to crank up the blue and produce and image that is either more gold or more red. This time, I just combined the images into SHO and edited from there without applying normalization. Color palettes are fun!

This image is from August 2nd before the wildfire smoke settled in on Massachusetts. This is a pretty good spread of sunspots with a couple big patches. Haven't seen much in the way of aurora activity, but that's just as well because I couldn't have viewed it anyway.

It was a scorcher yesterday, so I didn't want to leave my equipment out too long. My goal was to grab some images of the amazing sunspots, but I noticed the moon was still barely up over the house so I had to try that as well. There was virtually no contrast in the moon image, so I had to really process it. The end result isn't amazing, but it's cool that I captured the sun and moon 6 minutes apart.

I'm not going to get APOD for this one, but I figured I'd process the data since I have it! This is two sessions on Whale and Hockey Stick galaxies. This is a significant crop, so I applied a 2x drizzle to retain some resolution. These are definitely better captured with a long focal length.

That said, it is interesting to see the variety of shapes different galaxies take on in the sky. Galaxies are relatively flat discs and we are seeing these edge-on, so you can't see the distinctive spiral shape like Andromeda or Triangulum galaxy. Hockey Stick galaxy is thought to have its strange shape due to an interaction with another nearby object.

Still a work in progress, but this is Messier 20, also known as Trifid Nebula, in HOO. After two months of mediocre weather with a nearly unused monochrome camera, I finally got a few nights to image this object as it barely pops above the southern horizon. I'll try to double my integration time and add some better stars before I call this one done (for now).

Here's my latest image. Captured from my neighbor's backyard (because this target doesn't clear the trees from my house). Messier 8 (The Lagoon Nebula), Messier 20 (The Trifid Nebula), and M21 (an open star cluster).
