"The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday withdrew a proposed rule that would have barred all Americans under age 18 from using tanning beds.

Dozens of states — including California, Delaware, Illinois, Kansas and Minnesota — as well as Washington, D.C., already ban the use of tanning beds for minors. Other states have restrictions that allow teens to use tanning beds with parental consent."

My dermatologist froze a LOT of areas on my head a couple of days ago. Normally I don't mind, but this time I actually got brain freeze. Now I have weird blisters on my scalp; they're red on the edges, white in the centers. I look like someone with a space disease from original Star Trek! 🤣

They're booking me for a full photodynamic scalp peel, too. Apparently precancerous cells, like Spring, are busting out all over.

At the surgeon for my latest Mohs procedure. They say the best way to avoid skin cancer is to not get a sunburn before you turn 18. I learned this when I was 30...so here I am to serve as a warning to others!

Tiny bump less than 1/8" across turns into a circle 4x or more its size...not something you want if you can avoid!

Oh yeah, and you're not sedated for these surgeries, you have to wait while the lab checks the edges to confirm they got it all.
