This was our first Thanksgiving without both of our kids at home. So kinda bittersweet for Erin and I.

This post is a little different. This is actually one of many long, overdue commissions. Doing this one has inspired me. During my warm-ups, I think I'm going to do the original line of carded figures in this style. I still need to color this one, but I thought all of you would like to see the pencils and inks before color and fixative were added.

In a weird way, when my back is up against the wall, I feel like I'm at my best. Maybe the added pressure of needing to finish what I started, providing for my family... Maybe proving to myself that I'm more than.
Probably all of the above.
It drives me. And this week is no different. I'm trying to push through my list and provide a great product, all while challenging myself artistically.
