Attached: 1 image #Movies #ActionMovies #BloodAndGore . . . Just left my local #AMC after watching #Sisu2: Road to Revenge, which IMO is as good in my opinion as Sisu1. Sisu is about a "legendary" Finnish commando -- Aatami -- who endures & overcomes unfathomable odds to defeat his enemies & achieve his goals. In the Sisu1, his goal was to protect & retrieve the gold he found mining from Nazi looters. In Sisu2, it's to dismantle his home -- where his family was killed -- which is now in Soviet territory back across the border to Finland and to kill the man who was responsible for the murder of his family in the process. Sisu 1 & 2 most closely resemble the #BruceWillis in #DieHard series in terms of the determination of the hero in enduring extreme hardships in order to overcoming his opposition. Some scenes are excruciating & cringe-worthy, while others are laughable but they all combine to make for a very entertaining movie. I'd give both Sisu 1 & 2 at 7 out of 10.
Just watched #Wicked2 & #Sisu2 at my local #AMC these past 2 days.
Taking a day off to just loaf around the house. Woke up at 7 & still haven't gotten out of bed yet at 11. 🤗
Only 2 more movies out of the current crop that I want to see -- #NowYouSeeMe3 & #Nuremburg.
Planning on making a day of it to watch both of them tomorrow with a break for lunch.
This is only possible because I'm retired. 😉

Just re-watched #Sisu in advance of #Sisu2 due to be released on 11/21, the same day that #Wicked2 is due to be released too.
Sisu is a crazy movie about a Finnish war hero who gives up fighting the war vs the Nazis in order to become a gold miner, who strikes it rich but then loses his gold haul to a platoon of Nazis & then recovers it.
In Finish, sisu means: "an extraordinary determination in the face of extreme adversity, and courage that is presented typically in situations where success is unlikely. It expresses itself in taking action against the odds, and displaying courage and resoluteness in the face of adversity; in other words, deciding on a course of action, and then adhering to it even if repeated failures ensue."
There a lot of unplausible & totally unbelievable bloody scenes in the movie, the point of which is that the main character will never give up, but it is wholly entertaining just the same.
I hope that Sisu2 is just as good.
