Sissinghurst Castle. One time home of Virginia Woolf’s lover Vita Sackville-West and diplomat husband Harold Nicolson. Lovely gardens. We went out today #Sunday partly because it might be the last Sunday of fine #ukweather this year, a chance to walk in 🌞 however it was a bit too hot for walking for me. We went to #Sissinghurst which is called a #castle but isn't actually one. It's got a more complicated #history than I realised, but is well known as home of #vitasackvillewest so fits with our other #garden #art #literature walks this summer.
