On 21 April 1986 Siouxsie and the Banshees' seventh album Tinderbox was released.

With a new focus on synth rather than the prominent guitar sound, after Robert Smith left the band, they once again forged a sound totally of their own, without ever giving a sense of commercial compromise.

Cementing their status as one of the most consistently rewarding and influential bands of the genre.
