Season 5, Episode 11: Homer the Vigilante
I like wikipedia.
Yesterday I read about the so-called "Pokemon-Shock".
When the 38th episode of the first season of the Pokemon anime aired on 1997.12.16, a flashing effect caused symptoms of photoepileptic seizures in the audience.
685 people were affected, mostly children,
Some few were hospitalized, some while being unconscious, some had to stay there for two weeks.
The episode was taken out of rotation and never aired outside of Japan.
The event caused regulation of flashing effects in animation film and gaming as well as mandatory warnings related to photoepileptic effects in media.
The Simpsons did a parody on it where they travel to Japan and Bart watches "Battling Seizure Bots"
