I'm still busy scanning the 1992 SimLife user manual. Making some progress, but it's a rather slow process tonight. On the bright side: The pages are in pretty much mint condition, so I will be able to upload a gorgeous PDF version in the end.
Time to start digitizing a new retro manual. I haven't seen a good pdf version of the German SimLife manual yet, so this might be worth the effort. I will upload this to archive.org as soon as it's done.

In 1992 #Maxis released #SimLife for Mac and MS-DOS, later ported to Amiga and Windows 3.0. On their FTP site they also made available "SLSLIDE.EXE", a slide show program with screenshots of the game and commentary in dialog boxes. This was meant as a demo / preview for potential buyers so you could see what the game was like beforehand.
I ran the program in DOSBox and uploaded the output.
You can also get the base screenshots as .PCX files from the archive, and the slideshow program SLIDE.EXE is a generic tool for doing images + captions + timing. It reads a script in the folder and parses it as display commands. I've attached the script in the Youtube description as well.
