ACM Creativity & Cognition is happening online next week in Gather. I am the virtual platform chair and I have spent WAY too many hours building a conference space that evokes London, as the 2026 conference will be in person in London.

Fully virtual conferences are accessible to all - sustainable, affordable, equitable, better for folks with caring responsibilities and those unable to travel due to VISA issues. C&C is fully virtual every other year. Join us! @acm_creativitycognition #SIGCHI

I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience with the practical turnaround time for #TOCHI nowadays. It looks like they aim to make decisions in about 90 days: https://dl.acm.org/journal/tochi/author-guidelines #sigchi #HCI
ACM TRANSACTIONS ON COMPUTER-HUMAN INTERACTION Author Guidelines | ACM Digital Library

ACM Transactions on Computer-Human Interaction (TOCHI) covers the software, hardware and human aspects of interaction with computers. Topics include hardware and software architectures; interactive techniques, metaphors, and evaluation; user interface design processes; and users and groups of users. Those within the artificial intelligence, object-oriented systems, information systems, graphics and software engineering communities, will benefit from the high quality research papers in TOCHI concerning information and ideas directly related to the construction of effective human-computer interfaces.

Every task needs its own methods & results section. T1 T2 T3 makes no damn sense! Don't write it. Don't let it past review. #ieeevis #sigchi
Everyone who advocates for graphical representation of confidence intervals also advocates for open data to allow reanalysis. But in practice in #ieeevis and #sigchi, authors share no numbers or data, just graphs. Transparency is severely diminished with that approach.
Authors submitting to #sigchi today: You can use anonymized links on http://osf.io to make your code, materials, and anonymized data available... even if they're on a github repository. http://steveharoz.com/blog/2018/sharing-data-and-materials-for-anonymous-submission/
