If #Urban hospital employees will make $23 in June of 2024, $24 in 2025 and $25 in 2026 while their counterparts in #Rural hospitals will make $18 in 2024 and $25 not until 2033; who wants to work at a rural hospital at all?
The argument is that #RuralHospitals can’t afford to raise pay at the same rate as #UrbanHospitals.
But if rural employees jump to urban hospitals, there won’t be any rural hospitals left.
And none of this is actually budgeted.
