…This ‘virtual’ transport layer is absofuckinglutely physical. It has a maintenance cost. And when you push immeasurably more than you need along its networks those networks burn out quicker than they would otherwise.

And because those networks are built from resources which are not renewable in human lifetimes, that degrading accelerates.

We are living in the most stupid fucked up culture of all time. It has to break, and that cannot happen soon enough

I’m not invested in Heliox, having only previously happened across them for a particular subject. But because they’re in my Overcast, I got this one.

And it is a striking example of just how utterly fucked and mind-numbingly credulous North American climate breakdown discourse is.
