I just learnt about #shitajiki or pencil-board: a smooth surface to put under your paper for better drawing/writing.

Anyone here use them? How hard/soft are they? If I understand right, they seem to be just what I need for my ballpen/colour-pencil #artwork. Till now, I've been using multiple old sheets of paper stacked up, which is effective but a little messy and not too portable. Really excited to see there's actually a word for what I'm looking for 😁
