Second iteration for this Italian-made Fante ‘Starshaped’ frame, whose damaged chrome and torn-off bottle cage eyelets had destined it for the scrap heap. After repairs and an initial “commuter” build, it has now been rebuilt as a "rat" racing bike with a Shimergo drivetrain (Campagnolo Chorus 10 brifters with Shimano 8-speed transmission). The frame is steel, the fork is carbon @woundupforks and the stem is titanium @cinelli_official. The wheelset is build with @miche_components hubs, @maviccycling rims and sapim_official CX Ray spokes.

The first frame I made years ago; I started building it in a basement before we opened La Cyclerie in 2016. Thomas @cyclesrougegorge helped me fixing my mistakes and finishing the frame. It is branded "Deroy" after the name of Armand Deroy, a local framebuilder who was Thomas's teacher and mentor. I later build it the way I prefer; with a mix of second hand and bin parts with a low tech approach. This bike now belongs to a friend.
