I know and understand that truth can come from anywhere, not just from the 12 imams. Following them does not directly make faith stronger, because faith returns to each individual. There is no religion whatsoever which does not have smaller sects or denominations within it. Therefore, no matter how many branches of Islam there are, Islam is one, Islam is Islam. Am I a Shiite Muslim? Am I a Sunni Muslim? What if I'm both?

People may say that I am a Shiite Muslim and not a Sunni Muslim, that I follow Shia Islam and not Sunni Islam. Well, that is not correct because I identify myself as a Muslim and a Muslim is a Muslim, whatever sect or denomination they follow.
