I'm trying "sheets", a modal spreadsheet editor. I was thinking, even if it interprets keystrokes very much like what you'd expect from a vi-like TUI, of necessity there's always something a little unexpected...

Then I remembered how in Google Sheets a line break is Alt+Enter, not Control+Enter. I get it wrong half the time, it's infuriating!

Is there a FOSS spreadsheet out there that’s as good as or somewhat similar to Apple Numbers? The clinch feature in Numbers for me is multiple tables on the same sheet, separating grids from one another. That feature also helps with Page Layout and printing.

I’m just surprised that I haven’t found a spreadsheet, other than Numbers, that isn’t just an Excel clone.
