Good morning Fedi friends. It was a very chilly 0c this morning & even now is only 1c. The sun is up & shining though & it’s going to reach a very pleasant 18c.
Yesterday was a very full day, up at 5.30am to make sure all my house sit animals were dealt with, food, short walk etc before being picked up by a friend to head down to the alternative farming expo in Seymour for the day, a 2hr drive away. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did but it was fabulous, definitely a focus on farming, but it’s also so much more. There were plants - I bought 2, alternative therapies, animals including camels 🐫 that I was able to stroke & scratch, very gentle animals. Boutique gins & whiskey, clever craft people - I bought a hand carved wooden chain. Something for everyone. It was a fabulous day out. Arancini & a coffee for lunch.
When we headed home though things got a bit tricky, we were diverted at Euroa & again at Violet Town due to a B double accident on the freeway & it added nearly another 2 hours to the trip. Not that it bothered us to be delayed, but it meant our day out was around 12hrs long. We also rang the police to tell them about another B double on the freeway that was all over the road & as we passed him I looked up into the cab & the guy is leaning over his steering wheel, looking at his phone 🤷🏼‍♀️😳 - another accident waiting to happen. Absolutely shocking.
I was so tired once I got back to the sit & feeling guilty about leaving the animals for so long, although they were fine.
So today is going to be quiet day after I’ve walked the dogs & it’ll be a good long walk this morning.
