Okay, himself got back earlier than expected to help with the photoshoot (and getting photobombed by the cat). Pattern is Malvern Culottes by In The Folds, it’s a perfectly nice pattern, but took 2.5m of fabric, after I adjusted the pattern and removed 0.5m of fullness. #sewing #sewingwithcats

Progress on the ikea chair covers. Love the scary overlocker (Juki Sumato) - so, so, so much better than my old Brother. The tractor foot went over these thick quilted seams and around the tight curves like a hot knife through butter.

And already cat approved, before I even get to the hemming!

Reaching precision levels of helpfulness, as he is napping exactly right on top of the little medallion bit that I'm right now working on. Well done.

One of the good things about feline assistants, in addition to the morale bonus, is that whenever you need to find your scissors all you need to do is check under the cat, and they'll be under the cat.

Kerv is being very helpful.

I think it's pretty nice. Will have to make sure I have a bit more space on the other feathers so I can do the rick-rack all the way around... But it's nice enough like this.
Have had some valuable assistance from a boy, as well.

Also yesterday in sewing: A little assistant, helping me with the soutache. He started trying to sew on the braid and also wanted to hold my hand. Very helpful!

The well dressed sir is providing me with valuable assistance in holding the skirt down while I thread-mark it.
I'm actually being sincere, the skirt is heavy and he's stopping it from sloughing off the desk!

Drafted the shape for the base of where the soutache can go, and... A sir is being very helpful.
He likes the crinkle the paper makes.

Doing more whipstitching of the inside raw edges of this vintage coat. Brumma is helping as usual. 😸
I also had to repair the other pocket than the one I already fixed (I shoved my gloves into it and the old thread snapped).
