Autistic Goblin

This is a shoutout for someone my husband and I know personally, who is crowdfunding a short film about being the parent of a child with severe autism.

Casey is a fabulous human and he is making this film to reach out to other parents, help educate, and to advocate for policies and programs for long term support for families and their severely autistic children.

To be produced by Sarah Wharton; directed by Matty Brown (Netflix's #TheSandcastle): https://seedandspark.com/fund/hear-me-1#story

Spotlight: Dads whose sons have complex needs speak out

Four fathers of children with severe learning difficulties tell BBC Spotlight about the physical challenges they face.

Took the kid to the dentist today and he was amazing. We’ve been working with him, getting him to understand about teeth cleaning and going to the dentist and all the tools involved, sitting and opening his mouth for them etc for WEEKS and WEEKS. It all paid off - he wore his little N99 mask with no issues, we walked in and he sat straight in the seat, didn’t even have to ask, let them scrape his teeth to remove some buildup. Amazing. Such a difference from 2 years ago. #autism #severeautism
