Way back in the early 60s, I recall going to a ships part on a beach in Japan. There was an aluminum trash can filled with ice and bottles of soda pop. The bottles were all glass and required a bottle opener to remove the cap. I would either reach for a Dr Pepper or a Seven Up, which were my favorites. Seven Up was especially good if there was a bit of ice forming in the bottle. I think that Seven Up, Bubble Up, and Sprite taste just about the same. Sprite didn't yet exist at the time of that part, but Bubble Up, which I thought was a Seven Up knock off, actually predates Seven Up. It's my opinion that soda pops taste better in a glass bottle.

Hmmm ... I just found out that Seven Up is also the title of a book by: Janet Evanovich
