Fredericton hospital and woman who lost 35-week pregnancy settle lawsuit
A Hanwell woman who delivered a stillborn girl at the Chalmers Hospital in 2022 has discontinued her negligence lawsuit against Horizon Health, the hospital and four doctors. Aimee Dunn's lawyer said the case was settled out of court on terms that were "tolerable" to his client.

I'm no longer on Tripadvisor, but thought I take the chance to recommend Nettle in Settle (in the Yorkshire Dales) - its a lovely place to have lunch. The young staff are attentive & friendly, the food was brilliant & the building across three floors was delightful. If you're in Settle I would thoroughly recommend eating there, and supporting a business run by local young people.

TikTok has agreed to settle in a landmark social media addiction lawsuit just before the trial kicked off, the plaintiff’s attorneys confirmed. The social video platform was one of three companies facing claims that their platforms deliberately addict and harm children, along with Meta’s Instagram and Google’s YouTube. Snapchat’s parent company Snap Inc., settled the case last week for an undisclosed sum. Additional details of the settlement with TikTok were not disclosed. A lawyer for the plaintiff said in a statement Tuesday that TikTok remains a defendant in the other personal injury cases, and that the trial will proceed as scheduled against Meta and YouTube.
