Soeben eine Absage einer booking.com -Unterkunft erhalten, wegen des medizinischen Assistenzhunds 🐕‍🦺 meiner Frau, und weil angeblich Booking.com die Beschränkung "mindestens 4 Nächte" nicht übernommen hätte.

Habe die Buchung storniert (zum Glück kostenfrei weil genügend früh), aber die Gastgeber auf das Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz hingewiesen.

A fellow veteran friend of mine just texted me to let me know this eight-year old English Cream Retriever named Bailey is looking for a new home with a veteran - I let my friend know I’ve adopted two cats that as far as I know are OK with dogs. I’m gonna check into this tomorrow - we shall see. Depending on how things turn out, I may once again have a full house. 😉

I haven’t had much time for anything lately, not even #sewing, because we’ve been busy doing lots of intense #servicedog #training ever since getting a medical letter/prescription earlier this year.

The training is *a lot* of work, but Miguel Ángel is an (aptly named) absolute angel, he has the aptitude and personality for it, and unquestionably loves doing the work. None of our other dogs would have ever made the cut, but it’s like he was born for this!

Celebrating Assistance Dog Day.

#AssistanceDogDay, #ServiceDog, and #WorkingDog Dogs have always played the role of the most loyal companions of humans. In many places, these dogs also play the role of an assistant. Be it herding cows with a cowboy or helping another human, dogs do all these tasks very well. There is no other animal that can do these tasks. That is why today is celebrated as Assistance Dog Day and the work of dogs is appreciated.
