We just had dinner at Serai in Melbourne CBD, and had a great experience. The food was outstanding!
Since it wasn't easy to get into it probably doesn't need it, but I would highly recommend it if you have the chance to go eat there.

Creating a human avatar was effort.
It wasn’t enough to appear human, as much as folktales centered around animals failing to conceal the vestiges of their beast sides.
Any being who’d walked amongst humans knew a mask was required. To be aesthetically pleasing in the ways humans saw beauty, but not too pretty. To smile, but without too much teeth. To be soft and giving in ways utterly foreign yet somehow with enough spine to keep a human’s respect.

Some beings were humans, others animals, some objects, and for a rare few…they were places.
No one knew how that happened. Certainly it wasn’t genetics or the like.
Some liked to claim it was choice, of a sorts, but those tended to fall into the camp of those who insisted any suffering in a being’s life was also by design.
For learning purposes, obviously.
