Started reading Jon Fosse’s Septology yesterday, it immediately grabbed me. Despite how intimidating it looks on the page, it’s carried by a wonderful lightness and rhythm. Looks like I’ll be powering through that one quickly.
I realised last night that part of the reason I’m vibing so much with it is because it reminds me a lot of Ania Walwicz’s poetry - she pursued that same rhythmic quality and playfulness in her writing
Not Christian/Catholic, but I guess it was fitting to finish book 1 of #Septology on a Sunday morning
For those of you (justifiably) frothing over your crisp new copies of #SEPTOLOGY from @[email protected], this video will likely be of interest to you. Another banger, courtesy of our very own @[email protected]
everyone on #bookstodon please read #MerveEmre ‘s considered and enlightening (and rare!) interview with #JonFosse in the #NewYorker : https://t.co/ATKOB9oplT
I joke a lot about it, but there really is something of the divine in Fosse’s #Septology .
