I really, really miss IRC. I’ve made true friends back then when I spent most of my spare time having fun „on-line“. A thing that doesn’t seem possible on Mastodon, Discord, Reddit or any other modern tool of mass brainrottification.

It's been beyond horrible to watch some of the great social bastions of my youth, one by one, fall to proto-fascism. Wisconsin, prime example. People haven't studied the history so no idea what was lost there.
Which brings me to MN. Oh, yeah. Me and fam eventually rose to Garrison Keillor lib status there. A perpetual time-capsule of normalcy and nordish cultural memes to be sure.
