OK, OK, I get it. #Sentientism is a bit of a mouthful. It has 5 syllables! 😮
But Christianity has 5 too and they seem to have done alright 🙂
And then there's Zoroastrianism! 😱
There are better reasons to pick a #Worldview

Such a pleasure to talk about the #Sentientism worldview with Carrie Freeman on her In Tune to Nature radio show and podcast. Thanks Carrie!

Eating animals is not a necessity, it's just something we choose to do.
So why continue to pay for something so horrible when we don't need to?
It’s tempting to want to bolt on specific, hard-coded beliefs to the #Sentientism worldview’s “evidence, reason, and compassion for all sentient beings.”
But as soon as any worldview bakes in specific beliefs it becomes, by definition, dogmatic.
Sentientism is anti-dogma.
No, what gives any animal intrinsic moral worth is preference of experience, which is a mental state that depends on sentience. Plants have no nervous system, no sentience, no preferences.
Because plants don't feel pain or have any intrinsic moral worth and you already agree with me. If you are about to crash a car into a dog do you swerve into a bed of hundreds of roses or kill the 1 dog.
If I rip apart a flower for fun or to use the juices to make perfume how do you feel about that compared to ripping apart a cat to play with their blood
