Well, it's once again time for real artist talk 😕...
*TW: Ill/Injured Senior Pet and the dreaded C word*
One of my senior dogs isn't doing well 😞. She is currently unable to move around without help (not an easy feat with an 82lb dog), is shaky and weak in the rear end, and does not seem to be able to bear any weight on her left rear leg. I did not see what happened, but am assuming she somehow managed an injury while out in the yard 😥.
We have a vet appointment scheduled, and as a pet parent; I can't help but worry. Especially because she's 11yo and already has chronic health issues, some of which are severe (worsening arthritis, some allergies, insulinoma; which is a rare type of cancer that, without management, messes with her insulin levels and causes her sugar to tank, and finally, a compromised immune system caused by the Prednisone she is being given to help manage the insulinoma 🫠). I'm trying to keep my brain from jumping to the worst conclusion (that this is something that will eliminate any quality of life), but as I'm sure many of you know; it's not easy 😓. If y'all could send some extra healing vibes, prayers, etc it would be incredibly appreciated!
And I try to keep posts like this to a minimum, but I could REALLY use some sales and social media shares/reposts right now. Right out of the gate I can say that we're most likely looking at a vet bill STARTING at around $600 (the office visit fee plus x-rays). Anything to help with that would go a long way so if you're interested in beadwork, crochet, or fluid art (commissions included) then I'm your gal! If you're not interested in any of those but would like to help anyway, please repost some of my original content! And if you're feeling extra generous, I also have a "Toss A Coin To Your Artisan" tip jar option in my shop (linked in the comments).
