I've spent the entire month of October [pretty much] crocheting for a neighborhood crafts event I hope to sell the pieces in this weekend. I've never sold at any kind of craft fair. I don't want to be involved as a salesperson at a craft fair. I don't even take my product to flea markets or host yard sales to hawk them. I chose to participate in this crafts fair as a favor to a neighbor who's presenting | hosting the event. But I've thought a lot more about the why... why don't I like to sell in person? Why is it such a big deal not to be a part of larger scale local fairs? And I think it really boils down to costs & expectations, both real and imagined. So if you're crafting something, I just want to remind you that it's πŸ’― okey dokey to show up with whatever you've completed. You don't need 50+ of the exact same item for it to sell. You need 1. Just one.
