You cannot compare your pole journey to anyone else’s. Some dancers have years of ballet, gymnastics, or martial arts behind them or maybe even made a career/college major out of movement—but that doesn’t make your progress any less valid.

When I started, I couldn’t even tilt my body for a cradle. Now look at me! I used to compare myself to lifelong athletes when I hadn’t done anything active since I was 17 and I entered pole at 26. But I kept going, and so will you.

Be kind to yourself. Keep growing. Your journey is yours. 💜✨
