The crux of the problem is that the #Khalistan #secessionist movement is NOT indigenous, but exported mainly from #Canada by the #Sikh diaspora who have found refuge in the liberal #Canadian society.

Majority of #Sikhs in #India do not support this movement, which was actually given oxygen by India's archenemy #Pakistan in the 1970-80s.

The movement died down in the late 1980s but has suddenly resurfaced.
