Another photo from early this morning, walking the Dahl Playfield Park loop: the east side is mostly Himalayan blackberry bushes, which are not allowed anywhere else. People come in late summer to gather berries.

Ookow flowers (Dichelostemma congestum) atop a long, snaky bare stem. The leaves look like strappy grass, and are hard to spot amid the grass!

The Picardo P-Patch has the first ever (of two) composting toilet (nicknamed Picaloo) in the Seattle Parks system. It is solar powered, and is kept meticulously clean by volunteers, and users as well! TBH, it is hard to spot.
