I once did a storm crossing in a ferry to Tasmania.
Tasman straight being one of the more dodgy seaways.
Was locked in a windowless cabin (night crossing) and even though I bought a cabin close to the centre, it felt like I was in an elevator moving up and down five storeys. And that's on a ship with stabilisers.
So I totally understand your experience, mine was mercifully brief.
It seems like there are a lot of people who would love to see a ferry connection between the UK and Norway re-established, embracing slow travel and reducing air miles. So I’m curious, would you take the ferry between the UK and Norway if it was an option and affordable?
