Went out on my usual loop to nowhere and found the smell of #fire everywhere, with the #smoke thickening as I headed south. I asked someone walking down the sidewalk if there was a fire, and they said it was a gnarly one on Aurora. It was quite the sight when I came across it!

The mural says "our house is on fire" and there's a business adjacent to this vacant building called the Fireside Cafe. Spooky! #cycling #bicycle #seabikes #seattle

I received a response from King County Parks to my request for more information and to find a suitable detour regarding the upcoming East Lake Sammamish Trail closure from May thru late fall. Unfortunately, it’s not looking good.

For context, this trail closure means that the only way one could bike between Issaquah and Redmond is around the west side of Lake Sammamish or climbing into the city of Sammamish for most of the year
