@VD15 sadly the latter one necessitates #microSDexpress and it's #PCIe / #NVMe-based #SDexpress interface.

That being said #microSD->#SD adaptors are common in some #industrial / #embedded systems with #RaspberryPi to easily swap OSes and exchange data.

Kinda like that SD adaptor (video via @rasteri)…

This Nintendo Switch 2 adapter could let you add a PCIe NVMe SSD

The Nintendo Switch 2 has a bigger, better screen, a faster processor, more storage, updated controllers, and a whole bunch of other upgrades over Nintendo’s first-gen Switch. It can run more demanding games with higher quality visuals, and even some games designed for the original Switch are said to run better on the new model.

But that hasn’t stopped some hardware and software hackers […]

#sdexpress

Lexar’s SD 8.0 card support speeds up to 1700 MB/s, but there’s nothing to use it with

Lexar has introduced a new SD card with theoretical read speeds up to 1,700 MB/s and write speeds as high as 1,000 MB/s. But the word “theoretical” is doing a lot in that sentence, because right now there are no compatible devices on the market that will let you use the card at those speeds… and there might never be.
