One of the decorative sculptures on W.M. Whyte's 1885 French Renaissance style tenement building on Queen's Drive in Glasgow. The sculptures are divided into a number of themed sets. This is from the set representing the seasons. Other sets represent crafts and arts. There are also figures thought to represent the architect, the builder and caricatures of the bailies who initially rejected the plan for the development.

The 72nd Annual Exhibition of Soukei-ten is almost here. While the breeze is nice and cool, the heat is getting like that of summer. Once more, I’m exhibiting my latest artwork at the exhibition, which is going to be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
For anyone who is based in or planning a visit to Tokyo, it would be great if you can pop in and have a look at our exhibition! Please take care in the rising temperatures.

Next up we met up and enjoyed lunch together with my mom’s friend, before going to see my friend Midori Kashiwaki’s posthumous exhibition. I and my mom decided to come and see her works when I received the direct mail from her husband. It was lovely to be able to chat with other sculptors who also knew her.#scuplture
