When the light hits right, a tree can transform into a lightning strike. In my study of the shape of trees and lightning, I found that their expression appears to be very similar.

I aim to integrate the impact of light reflection in my engravings. The darkest parts of a scratchboard can become the most bright. What a playful duality.

In 2021, I received a message from the manager of the metal band Gojira asking if I was interested in creating a poster for their upcoming French tour. Obviously, I said yes and started working, sending sketches, but never heard back until the day I saw the tour was canceled due to COVID. Since then, nothing, but I still have this drawing, inspired by the song "Amazonia."
