I took a trip out of Glasgow today to go up to go up the other Ben Vorlich (the one by Loch Earn). I've climbed more mountains this year than I have in a while, but I don't think I've had single cloud-free summit (including today!). Still fun to do, though.

The Cobbler as seen from the path up Beinn Ime. Just an hour from Glasgow and reachable by public transport, the Arrochar Alps offers some spectacular mountains to climb that are perfect for the occasional day trip out of the city.

A trip up Ben Lomond today for what was meant to be the last hill of the Summer turned out to be more like the first hill of the Autumn. Still, the low cloud and mist made for some atmospheric views (before it close in and blotted everything out!).
