IGGY is nihilism personified, every urge, impulse, and thrust fully expressed, no lines to read between. Raw Power beats to hell most records of its kind and I can only imagine the experience of hearing something like this in ‘73 when the concept of “loud” was truly being tested following Altamont’s savage takedown of hippie naïveté. I’m happy to exist on its timeline.
