I have BOINC Nightly running on my Debian KDE forky/sid personal laptop (no GPU, podman is installed), my BOINC manager is Science United.

Is there any telemetry I can activate to help you optimize BOINC Client/Manager, or a place to send logs ?
Which logs flags should I activate for it to be useful ?

En ce début d'année 2026 qui commence mal, je vous invite à rejoindre le projet Science United qui utilise (via le logiciel BOINC créé par l'Université de Berkeley) la puissance de calcul de votre ordinateur (processeur, et carte graphique si vous en avez une) pour des projets de recherche universitaire : médecine, astronomie, mathématiques...

Kennt ihr noch SETI@home? Das war in den 90ern (?!) recht populär - zumindest unter den Nerds wie ich 🤓

Man konnte sich da eine Software herunterladen und dann mit seinem eigenen Computer zu Hause mithelfen, in astronomischen Daten nach außerirdischem Leben zu suchen.

Das Projekt läuft mittlerweile nicht mehr, aber es gibt einen Nachfolger, der sich auch nicht mehr nur auf astronomische Berechnungen beschränkt: Science United
