Was so thrilled to receive a copy of Bay Nature Spring 2026 issue and see my illustration in it. I created a close up of the Dodder plant and pickleweed interaction for the article "Sensing is Becoming" by Jules Litman-Cleper

The @soilbiome lab has always been a joy to work with over the years!

I have been slow to post some of the projects I've worked on with them because I am allergic to social media 🤣 but late is better than never!

I'm always excited to work on thumbnails for New Nature's videos since they always involve cutting some earth in half.

Illustration for Psychologie Heute from last year 🧠✨

The researchers Steffen Moritz, Stella Schmotz and Laura Hoyer explore where body-focused repetitive behaviors like nail biting, skin picking, or thumb sucking come from, and how we can learn to redirect the underlying impulses.

For the illustration, I visualized this idea quite literally:
a person biting their nails, while inside their head a smaller version of themselves switches the tracks, gently steering the urge onto a new path.
