***CHANGE OF DATE & VENUE *** Instead of our usual 4th Monday, which coincides with Memorial Day, we have moved our May meeting up by one week. We will meet on MONDAY MAY 18th at the CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER in the Roosevelt Redwood Room. Join South Bay Swing Left as we come together to review the ballot for the June 2nd Primary and exchange insights and opinions on the candidates and ballot measures. We will share the latest updates from Swing Left national about our targeted Swing Districts, the outstanding response to the Ground Truth campaign, and other updates and activities. It promises to be a spirited and informative gathering! The meeting begins at 7:00 PM - both in person and on Zoom. If you join us in person, please arrive at 6:30 PM to share some social time with us. Regrettably we are unable to present our usual potluck & beverage station, so you may want to eat before the meeting or bring a snack and a beverage along. South Bay Swing Left, along with our sister organization Orchard City Indivisible, is empowering volunteers and activists from the Greater South Bay Area to protect and strengthen democracy by fighting back against the current administration and supporting the critical 2026 elections. Join us! Campbell Community Center is located at 1 W. Campbell Avenue, at the corner of Campbell Avenue and Winchester Blvd. There is ample free parking available in the Campbell Parking Lot, adjacent to the Roosevelt Redwood Room (Q-80).

Phone banking for Ground Truth is different from traditional phone banking. It gives you the opportunity to listen and learn how the voter feels about the state of the country, their major issues and where they fall on the political spectrum. Join us to find out how phone banking for Ground Truth can impact the outcome of the 2026 midterms. We'll conduct a mock Ground Truth conversation, then give you the chance to critique us! We'll then go into breakout rooms where you can engage in a mock Ground Truth conversation with fellow participants. It should be a lot of fun!

In 2025, we made history by passing Prop 50. Now it’s time to turn that victory into lasting change by Taking Back the House! We're going to reach out to voters in our targeted districts early to hear their issues, concerns and ideas. And we'll be using some of the best practices from Deep Canvassing to have more engaged and meaningful conversations. We'll be running virtual phonebanks 2 times every week: Tuesdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Derek Tran in CD 45 and against Cong. Issa - CD 48 Thursdays - 5:30-7:30 PM for Congressman Adam Gray in CD 13 and against Cong. Valadao - CD 22 Whether you’re a seasoned phoner or brand new, you’ll be supported every step of the way. We use a dialer call system to make the calls more efficient so you'll need a computer, laptop or tablet and internet access to make the calls. Join Arizona Native Democrats for our weekly phone bank focused on action, empowerment, and movement-building in Native and tribal communities across Arizona. Our phone banks have evolved beyond traditional volunteer recruitment. Based on strong community feedback, we now center our calls around real, timely calls to action that give people an opportunity to participate, speak up, and feel connected to something larger than themselves. These conversations are about sharing information, uplifting Native voices, and inviting community members to take meaningful action on issues that directly impact them. Each week, our calls will focus on a current issue, campaign, or community priority, which may include: - Contacting elected officials around urgent legislative or policy matters - Supporting tribal sovereignty, environmental justice, or voting rights - Sharing updates that affect specific tribes, regions, or Native communities - Encouraging community members to take a simple but powerful next step Arizona Native Democrats work across multiple tribal nations, and as we continue to expand our organizing efforts statewide, our calls may be directed to specific tribes or geographic areas depending on the issue at hand. Volunteers will always receive clear scripts, background context, and support before making calls. Out-of-state volunteers are welcome and encouraged to join. These phone banks are a powerful way to stand in solidarity with Native communities, support grassroots organizing, and help move collective action forward, no prior experience required.
