The page 1 story from the most recent #SaturdayPaper interviewing Larissa Waters about the way Greens are getting shit done is insightful into Labor tactics too, with quotes both on and off record from the ALP. Larissa is doing a great job, long may she continue to be there for people who just want a decent life on a liveable planet.
Yesterdayβs #SaturdayPaper page 1 story on the misfeasance finding against a senior Medicare employee mentions that the submission, totalling 929 pages, was only emailed to the public servant 17 minutes before she made her decision.
But thereβs more column space given to the lack of evidence that she printed it. Modern office work does not require printing things. I signed off on many thousands as a Minister, almost never printed anything. But I read everything I signed, and IT data showed when it landed in my inbox, and when I signed it.
Printing is irrelevant. 17 minutes between receiving info and making the decision is all that matters in this case.
Better than my usual result thanks to a couple of lucky guesses. Iβll take the points. #SaturdayPaper
