It’s a while since I posted an update in my thread about “A Stitch in Line” by Katherine Seaton. I finished all the samplers from the book and started attaching them together with plain purple “sashing”. I didn’t pre-plan the layout, just went with what looked good grouped together, then decided on the final layout (picture attached) once I had them clustered into a few groups.
Next steps, to be done in parallel, since I do sewing and embroidery in different places (sewing room vs. sofa) at different times:
1. There’s an obvious hole in the layout (top left corner) so I’ll do another sampler to go there.
2. Finish the sashing so everything is attached together as a single large rectangle.
Once I have that done, I can decide what sort of border (if any) I want on it.
