ポーランドをベースにしたポケモン地域を考えていたんだ…。次にどこへ行けばいいのか見当もつかなかったが、この水タイプのスターター候補をデザインした。
ビーバーを選んだのは、東ヨーロッパ、特にポーランドの人々の間では有名な動物だからです。

I was thinking of a Pokémon region based in Poland… I had no idea where to go next, but I designed this water-type starter.
I chose the beaver because it is a well-known animal among people in Eastern Europe, especially in Poland.

This Pokémon eats a lot, which makes it difficult to float in water. Its developing neck and head fuzz allow it to swim long distances, even after eating a lot.

彼の生涯の仕事を記念して、私はペンネームの完成形として彼の名字を選びました。
彼の遺志を継ぎたい。

Today, Satoru Iwata would be 64 years old.
Although he is no longer with us, I still remember him and his work. I am glad every day for his work that allows us to experience Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal the way we did with two regions instead of just one.
His other contributions included the Kirby series, the Super Smash Bros. series, and the creation of the Nintendo Direct livestreams.
In honor of his lifetime work, I have chosen his last name to complete my pen name.
I want to continue his legacy.
