சட்டப்பூர்வமாக பாதுகாக்கப்பட வேண்டிய மணல் மேடுகள், சட்டவிரோத கட்டுமானங்களால் அழிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இதனால் மீனவ சமூகங்களின் வாழ்வாதாரமும் கேள்விக்குறியாகியுள்ளது. மணல் மேடுகள்தான் 10 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் அதிகாமானோரைக் கொன்ற 2004 சுனாமியிலிருந்து நூற்றுக்கணக்கான மீனவ சமுதாயங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பதில் முதல் நிலை பாதுகாப்பாக அரணாக இருந்தன. #SandDune #Tsunami #VellasiyarSandDune…

Die #Sanddüne "Maleen" in St. Peter-Ording ist so groß und breit, dass die Einheimischen ihr nicht nur einen Namen gegeben haben, sondern sie auch den Küstenschutz an dieser Stelle unterstützt.
